I just read this following you listing it on kirkspock as your favourite story. It was heartbreaking seeing Kirk and McCoy part after all they'd been through together - I ached for Jim, for being 'abandoned' again. I was so happy that Spock was there for him, quietly courting him without Jim realising until he was in, hook, line and sinker! Such a fabulous ending too, with their child and the old friendship with Bones getting back on track. A lovely story thank you! ♥
